Mother/Son Dance

This was our third year to attend the Mother/Son Dance. I love this annual tradition! We missed them not having it last year - the City was busy building the new rec center and didn't host it last year. This year's theme was "Around the World" - so we were supposed to dress up like we were from another country... so can you tell, we were from "somewhere tropical"! Hawaii, Tahiti, Jamaica, Fiji... okay!!

They had it decorated so cute - all the food was "hosted" by a different country. They had fresh fruit in "Jamaica", and cheese and crackers in "France" and fortune cookies in "China" and chips and salsa in "Mexico"! The boys loved going to all the different countries to get their food.

Here's my big boy cutting a rug... I am hoping that he still let's me take him to this for at least a couple more years, although I can feel him getting "a little too old" for this - MOM! Although he loves that special Mommy time, so maybe that will be enough incentive!

Doing the "Chicken Dance"!

We went with two of our friends - more Mothers of Boys! Summer with her oldest, Ethan, and Robbie with Max! We were tropical, African and Indian! The night was more fun getting to share it with friends!

The boys had a ball dancing together - they play the BEST music at these dances! Of course, all songs the kids recognize from shows and movies - just fun, dance music!

Here's Summer getting in on the action!

A cute pic of Preston and Ethan...

Love you, Preston! The dance was a blast, and then we enjoyed dinner at Preston's favorite restaurant - Taco Bueno! Oh, yea! We're fancy alright...
